CIAF 2025 - Another brilliant year of indigenous art, culture and fashion, CIAF as usual brought all of the colour and rich performances that this country has to offer, from every end of this big, beautiful land. Opening night showed the work of so many local, and state wide artists such as Gundganjji woman, Elverina Johnson, and brought Darren Blackman to Cairns/Gumuy to show his neon light art works in the Tanks display areas. Also showing up for culture and dance on opening night were the Deaf Indigenous Dance Group, the Torres Straight Islander Alick Tipoti Dhamuw Koedel Dancers and the Gimuy Walubara Yidinji Dancers. Also showing up in spades of talent were the indigenous fashion designers, such as Delvene Cockatoo-Collins, Lisa Luis, Girringun Art Centre, and Simone Arnol as part of the Yarrabah Cultural Centre contingent, showcasing at the CIAF fashion show.
